Drive Lounge Racing Takes on the iRacing Sebring 12 Hour
Drive Lounge Racing stepped onto one of sim racing’s biggest endurance stages as the team took part in the iconic iRacing Sebring 12 Hour, pushing both driver skill and team coordination to the limit across a gruelling 12-hour contest.
Held as part of the official iRacing Special Events calendar, the Sebring 12 Hour mirrors the real-world 12 Hours of Sebring, one of motorsport’s most prestigious endurance races. The virtual event follows the same spirit—multi-class racing, changing conditions, and relentless pressure—challenging teams to balance speed, consistency, and strategy over an extended period.
Taking place across the weekend of March 27–29, 2026, the event brought together sim racers from around the world to compete in classes such as GTP, LMP2, and GT3, creating a highly competitive and dynamic field.
For Drive Lounge Racing, the event marked another important step in our competitive journey. We entered three teams including an Academy Team with our more junior drivers.
With drivers rotating through stints, the team had to manage tyre wear, fuel strategy, and traffic across multiple classes—all while maintaining focus deep into the race. Endurance racing is as much about discipline and teamwork as it is outright pace, and the Sebring 12 Hour proved exactly that.
Throughout the race, Drive Lounge Racing demonstrated resilience and determination, navigating intense on-track battles and the ever-present challenge of fatigue. Each stint required precision, with even the smallest mistake potentially costing valuable time over the course of 12 hours.
Speaking after the event, a team representative highlighted the experience as a defining moment: “Endurance racing is a completely different challenge. It’s not just about being fast—it’s about being consistent, staying focused, and working together as a team. Sebring tested all of that.”
Following their recent success in national competition, the team continues to expand its presence in major endurance events, gaining valuable experience against some of the strongest competition in the sim racing world.
As Drive Lounge Racing looks ahead to future special events, the lessons learned at Sebring will play a key role in shaping their continued development—both as individual drivers and as a cohesive endurance racing team.
