Drive Lounge Racing Takes on the iRacing Bathurst 12 Hour

Renowned for its unforgiving layout, steep elevation changes, and narrow mountain section, Mount Panorama is a circuit that leaves no room for error. Across 12 intense hours of racing, drivers must balance outright pace with precision and patience, as even the smallest mistake can have major consequences.

The iRacing Bathurst 12 Hour, inspired by the real-world Bathurst 12 Hour, attracts top sim racing talent from around the globe. Featuring multi-class GT racing and packed grids, the event delivers constant on-track action, with traffic management and racecraft playing a critical role from start to finish.

For Drive Lounge Racing, the race represented another opportunity to test their growing endurance program. From the opening laps, the team settled into a strong rhythm, carefully navigating the tight confines of the mountain while maximizing speed along the long Conrod Straight.

“Bathurst is one of the toughest tracks in the world, both in real life and in sim racing,” a team spokesperson said after the event. “It demands total focus every lap. For us, this was about gaining experience, working as a team, and continuing to build our endurance racing foundation.”

Despite the relentless nature of the event, Drive Lounge Racing demonstrated resilience and discipline, successfully managing the demands of long-distance racing while competing against a highly skilled international field.
